i'm tori campbell. >> i'm dave clark. it's monday, tease 31st. >>> hours ago, firefighters were battling a house fire. alex savidge is live with more. what do you know now? >> reporter: at this point, all of the repair work has been done by pg&e. they had to dig up the road to repair that natural gas line that ruptured here this morning. things were very difficult for firefighters. they had this huge fire going inside this home across the street that you can see was heavily damaged. meantime, the fire inside the home touched off a second fire with flames that were pouring out of the curbside gas valve. firefighters couldn't turn off the gas themselves. so they had to wait a couple of hours for pg&e crews to come in and dig up the road and turn off the main line. as fire tore through both homes, flames shot 15 feet up into the air. the fire started just before 1:00 this morning on the 100 block of athens street. four people were home at the time. two of them had to be taken to the hospital with possible smoke inhale -- inh

tori campbell is also off. it's monday, december 24th. >>> we're following developing news out of marin county this morning where search-and-rescue teams are about to search for a missing man. alex savidge has more on how a traffic stop turned into a much larger situation. alex? >> reporter: well, now that the sun is coming up, the team is going to resume searching for this team, somewhere in the cordova creek. the man is suspected of drunk driving and ran from officers during a traffic stop. it happened earlier in the morning. he jumped into the creek in an area where the water is moving very quickly. authorities put a boat in the water right away to search the bas ofthe creek but there was no sign of the man. this all began after midnight when ross police made a dui stop on the man's car near sir francis drake and college. but during the field sobriety test, this man took off running from officers. officers watched him go in the creek and eventually lost sight of him. >> they followed for about 100 yards tryi
